Gorge Soccer Association
Vancouver BC, January 11 2017 – BC Soccer is pleased to announce that two more clubs, Surrey Unite FC and Gorge Soccer Association, have achieved standard 1 of the BC Soccer Club Charter Program. The program is based on meeting Administrative, Technical, and Governance criteria. The criteria and the program were created to help assure players, parents, coaches, and administrators that their club is operating and meeting a set of on and off-field standards.
“It is wonderful to be announcing two new clubs to the club charter program and I know that both Gorge Association and Surrey United have worked incredible hard to meet all of the criteria outlined,” said Kjeld Brodsgaard BC Soccer President.
With over 60 years of providing community soccer, the Gorge Soccer Association has grown from one team to over ninety youth and adult teams. Gorge Soccer Association supports both male and female soccer with teams and programs for U4 to over 60. Within that sixty years Gorge has had some great success on & off the field.
“We were very pleased to work with BC Soccer on the Club Charter Program. Gorge is happy and proud to be recognized for meeting the standards that provides existing and potential members confidence that the programs and services that Gorge provides follows a structured framework and all-around good practices in club development, governance, administration and services,” said Gorge Soccer Association President Brad Hlasny. “Achieving this standard is a testament to the dedication and work of our board, staff, technical team, coaches, managers and all of our volunteers”
